Marcia Christina has been an avid jazz and R & B music enthusiast since her childhood living in the Netherlands. Upon emigrating to the United States she’s been out in the music world since the early eighties, singing background and lead vocals for “Aaron’s Latin Jazz” and the “Coast Band”, as well as several other R & B cover bands. Marcia has been engaged in jazz studies as a vocal jazz performer at the Jazz School in Berkeley, and as the alto voice in the award winning a-Capella group "Vocal Underground” under the late direction Greg Murai. She holds a very special place in her heart for Brazilian music and percussion and has performed with San Francisco Carnival parading continent champion, “Fogo Na Roupa” for many years. After graduating with a BA, Music from CSUMB in Spring, 2025, Marcia aims to work as a singer, songwriter and percussionist, as well as in commercial music production and jazz music education.
